FSR0005 Another Dream — X-Trude

Another Dream

Another dream is a thoughtful but still uplifting track that takes a step back to the trance sound of a few years ago with evocative melodies, synths and pads that set the mood expertly, but backed up by a driving bassline and percussion that give it the energy it needs. On remix duties are; X-Trude who brings us the Magic Flavor mix, that despite being spelt incorrectly, gives us an excellent driving progressive version of his track, Tim Besamusca with his trademark growling bassline and complex synthwork that weave the original into an uplifting journey through aggression and emotion in equal measure, lastly Andy Tau brings the whole release up to date with a progressive rework that contains a monster of a bassline.

FSR0006 Trial By Fire — Trancience

Trial By Fire

The latest track from Future State Records has been a long time coming but it is definitely worth the wait. A collaboration between Andy Tau and Franklin van Uden has produced a powerful trance riff reminiscent of early 00’s tracks which has been expertly translated by the remixers into a diverse package. First is the Andy Tau mix which unashamedly references old school trance tracks with a huge breakdown, powerful main riff and driving beat.Undoubtedly the cream of the mixes is the Sly One vs Jurrane Mix, a superb modern trance track that translates the aggression of the original riff into an uplifting dance floor track, already gaining support from top DJ’s. Next up is Akkiles who gives the track his trademark sound, with a bouncing bassline and superb string led breakdown topped off by a driving beat. Brave provides the package with a tougher mix and an outstanding tech section following the breakdown that will undoubtedly rock dancefloors. The Franklin van Uden mix is a deeper trance track that expands on the main riff and uses short vocal cuts to great effect. Last but definitely not least is the Tim Besamusca Mix; Tim once again brings his trademark sound, elaborate and powerful melodies combine with a deep bassline to make another great remix.

FSR0007 Alphanumeric — Aerium presents Avalon 62

Alphanumeric

Up next on Future State Records is one of our most exciting releases to date. From Dutch producer Avalon 62, aka Aerium, Leander Rispens has weaved a stunning journey through trance in it's purest form. This 10 track album has everything you want from contemporary trance; elegant and uplifting melodies, slick driving beats and silky production. We kick off the album with Intro, Soundeffects, a chilled out intro that sets the scene, before jumping straight into an uplifting trance track, Sol, with compelling melodies and a solid bassline that drives the track energetically. Fantasia Landscapes is one of the highlights of the album, great production and beautifully uplifting, this track is utterly compelling. Next up is Mar, another lovely trance track which subtly binds together many layers of melody to create a soundscape that is underpinned by another solid beat and bassline. For Those Who Cared brings back memories of earlier trance with its lush saws and long evolving chords, without a doubt another highlight of the album. Through Shards of Open Fields slows the pace down a bit into a chilled out, trance influenced ambient track, once again using multiple layers of melody and a well constructed beat to great effect. A remix of British producer Macker's track Eternity, this is a lovely chilled out trance track that evolves over the top of subtle arpeggios and crisp percussion, with a beautiful breakdown in the middle to tie the track together. Cloudrunner brings the pace of the album back up, a tech trance influenced monster, this is another high point in the album, solid beats and a deep pulsing bassline are sure to rock dance floors. Carrying on into the more driving side of trance is High on Wind, High on Waves, another energy packed tech trance influenced track, this one with an excellent vocodered vocal that gives the track a unique touch. Finally the album winds down with another ambient track, Outro Music, that ends the album perfectly. Overall a well thought out, superbly constructed album that weaves through all of the best elements that trance has to offer, always exciting and great either as a whole album, or as individual tracks played out on the dance floor.

FSR0008 For All Time — Rachel Loren

For All Time

A collaboration between brothers Pete and Robbie Marsh and Rachel Wilks, Rachel Loren have produced a superb trance track, with a driving club oriented bassline and a classical influenced paino breakdown that has already seen plays on Radio 1 by Dave Pearce. The track has huge energy and intensity and our two remixers have taken this and created two excellent driving trance tracks. First is Future State Records regular Akkiles, this time collaborating with Blake V8 to make a frantic and powerful version of the original, second is Aerium under his alias Ethyleen Project, producer of the last release on Future State Records, with a great deeper tech influenced version of the original.
